Who do you think would win the superbowl if Joe Montana and Tom Brady were playing?? If they were to go head to head, who do you think would take it all?

A QB can't win a game. You go as far as your offensive line takes you.

Who is the line? Who are receiving the passes? What's the defense like? That's all things you have to keep in mind.

In a neutral environment, my money's on Cool Joe.

Defense wins championships ....Period...if this wasnt true then qb's

such as Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts and Dan Marino would have won superbowls....neither qb's mentioned had a championship quality defense to win superbowls.

Joe Montana great qb, but he did have an awesome defense

so did Tom Brady had the offense and the support but New Englands defense showed up when needed. Last year superbowl went to the Giants why?, they played better defense.

So if the question is between who would win, the qb that has the better D-fense will be my pick, and the 49ers during their superbowl wins had the better D-fense so Montana would have prevailed over Brady. But Brady is a darn good one too, though.

I think i'm going have to go against everybody and say Tom Brady! Don't get me wrong im not a patriots fan by any means! But i do like Tom Brady! Its not like he doesnt already have 3 superbowl rings! I know Joe has 4 but he also played for 14 or 15 years! And Tom has only played since 2000! Brady will probley be one if not the best QB ever! Sorry but its the truth!

sorry ladies and gentlemen, but this is the right answer: Joe Montana was a legend, but thats only rated, via passing of time. He was good game manager I'll give him that, but the man played with Jerry Rice. Head to Head, as in Monday Night Football Live special. Tom Would probably have 4 for 5 completion rate a drive, breaks down/prepares for Defenses better, actually has Evolved and Superior FIELD VISION and instincts (which is why he can afford to say in the pocket) and over the last def 4 years has improved his throwing power AND mechanices to near perfect level..the only thing that could let him down is his offensive line...but sorry folks...Tom, Man to Man, is the better built player.

I would have to go with Tom Brady because Joe Montana is older and hasn't played in forever. Unless you mean if he was younger....well...its kind of a different era now but it also depends on the team....I may have to say Montana and Rice are such a great combo I would pick them

It depends on the team surrounding them maybe. Joe Montana could be the most over rated qb ever. He played on great teams with the best reciever ever.He threw a lot of short passes.It was the run after catches that amassed most of his passing yards and tds.Tom Brady won superbowls with a lot less talented teams. Now having said that Tom lost a superbowl with one of the best teams ever assembled. Surely Joe would not have.They both are the greatest game managers ever.
