Surf Theme Summer Party?

I'm having a surf/beach party this summer for my friends (13-15 years old - boys and girls) and I need like fun things to do. Also decorations and ways to make sure people like dance and have a lot of fun!!

1. Surfwear: Really get your guests involved by reqiring them to wear surfing attire. Be sure to give them dress ideas in their invitations. Ladies, sundresses, surfing logo t-shirts, boardshorts, and bikini tops are some ideas. For the men, boardshorts, Aloha shirts, t-shirts, rash guards, and flip-flops. Puka shells, brightly-colored Zinca sunscreen, and sunglasses also work well for both. It’s sure to be a raging festivity!(vote for best dresser competition with a secert first prize, a leila and a gift).

2. popular surf music playing in the background. A few ideas are music by legendary surf guitarist d**k Dale, any reggae, Sublime, Beach Boys, and the Hudu Gurus.

3. To go a bit further, how about making a temporary Surf Shack Bar with palm frawns and a sturdy umbrella

4. Get some Luau paper cups, paper plate, napkins and etc(i have some example for see site 1 and 2).

5. Surfboard shaped finger sandwiches, Fruit bowl with yogurt dip, Vegetable tempura, pineapple and other tropical fruit chunks or salads, Grilled fish or pork, Tropical punch(pineapple, gauva, mango) is a fun choice. Consider adding drink umbrellas or party picks, Canned drinks are easiest and may be put in a big bucket or children's pool full of ice

6. Get a big standing notice board, print lots of paper with a shape of a surf board,get some colour pencils, ask people to design their surf board, pin them on the notice board, ask some adult to judge, the best design get a prize.

reggae music is always good. kaya, by bob marley. i wouldnt normally suggest playing the beach boys at a party, but it could be good for dancing. maybe. there's some really good classic surf music out there, but i dont know any names. really good for dancing. is this at the beach or just beach themed? if it's inside surf videos playing in the background could be kind of cool.
