Surfing.- buying a decet board>?

I just came back from a surfing holiday in cornwall and i want to try it in my local area, where could i buy a decent surf board in brighton for the beach etc? and not too much.

i live in seaford v. close to brighton

  1. go to your local surf shop and talk with the guys there as they will be very helpful and should be able to point you in the right direction. one thing though is go for a second hand board as you will not feel as bad if you ding it, and this will happen while you learn.

    Try walking round the main streets near the surfing beaches, you're sure to find a surf shop.

    When buying make sure you are honest with the shop assistant about your abilities, and take notice of his/her advice.

    It might be a good idea to do more lessons before buying a board. Your instructor would be a good person to ask this question to.

  4. Look for local surf shops. And don't waste your time or money buying something on line, unless you are very well schooled in what you are buying. The folks in a surf shop will help you get the board for your skill level and the local breaks.
