Surfing gift for brother in Australia?

Hi,

I want to buy my brother a gift and he is in Australia right now. He`s turning 16 and is into surfing, he already has a board and wetsuit.

I want to get him something he`ll like that relates to surf, he is new to it and so probably doesn`t have a lot of stuff. I don`t know much about surfing so what would be a cool gift to give.

Billabong is the most popular Australian surf brand.

You could get him a pair of trunks and t shirt. Since rashgaurds are out of fashion these days, many surfers are wearing t shirts in the water. They are now making a shirt with material to be worn while surfing and they attach to the trunks so you don't lose them in a wipeout. That's what I would want anyway.

Billabong, Ripcurl and Quiksilver are all pretty big surfing brand names in Australia.

You could get him some boardies (board shorts), a new pair of thongs or maybe a surfboard cover...

or maybe a waterproof watch that is comfortable... I know from experience that time can fly out in the water - and you can miss important appointments!!

well I'm not a guy, but I surf so here are things that would excite me (related to surfing):

-surf wax (about $3-4 per bar)

-stickers especially for you board (not that great, but its cheap)

-a new rash guard or board shorts

-a hemp necklace with shells or shark teeth  : ))

-surf movie
