Surprise visit from CYFD...?

I was talking with one of my best friends and she told me what happened to her today. Here is what she said. "I was sitting in my living room when I heard a knock at the door. There were three people with CYFD badges on and two cops with them. They said that they were there to check out my house because they had a complaint about it being unfit for a child to be in. With my three year old taking a nap in her room I let them in. After the embarassment and humiliation of having them go through each room in my house, they came to the conclusion that it must have been a boguss call. They said that they were sorry for the inconveniance and left. I later found out that the person was calling about a neighbor of mine."

Why is it so easy for CYFD to just walk into someone's house unanounced?

Its sad that something like this could happen to anyone. I'm not as perfect of a house keeper that my friend is. My house is clean mind you but not perfect. After hearing this my house is spotless!

They fear for the child, it's insane. Personally I was accused of abusing my child the other day cause she had a bruise on her face. I was forced to take her to the doctor and have her checked. They didn't call me before calling authorities. my daughter is 3 and runs into walls, doors, book cases ect. There is so many paranoid people out there to think everyone hurts a child.  By the way - it was founded there was no abuse. But put my family through h**l !
