A few days ago I bought some Sushi from the supermarket. They had a sign that said it was made daily and the kitchen didn't look dirty or anything...is there still a chance that I could get some kind of worm from this and how would I know?

  1. Worms from sushi... where did you hear this? It's a myth, sushi is safe, especially from restaurants and grocery stores.

I agree that it's better fresh from a restaurant though

  2. no, your fine..... Although I wouldnt suggest buying grocery store sushi, it isnt as yummy as the real thing from a real japanese resturant

  3. All the sushi they are selling  in the supermarket and in the restaurant are all in  the  refrigerated  mirror boxes.the right temperature of controlling  the bacteria to growth is under control and you don't need to get worried. The rice for  sushi's is cooked with the vinegar. This is also controlling the growth of bacteria. If you want to enjoy your sushi, go to Japanese restaurant doing their sushi's ala minute  , preparing their sushi's as per the request of the clients.

  4. Yes, you can, but then again you can get them from any undercooked food. All meat and poultry contains parasites, which is why it must be cooked to a certain temperature to kill off the parasites-I am not sure why eating dead parasites is any better of an idea, which is why I dont eat meat, poultry or fish. Yes, eating raw fish can be dangerous unless its VERY fresh.

  5. yes, raw fish can give you tapeworms.

  6. The sign is correct. It is made daily problem is yours might have been made three days ago. If you must buy it at the grocery store. Look what is available and then ask for something not in the display, they will have to make it "fresh" then. Problem still exists with he fish. You don't know how many days that sucker has been sitting around attracting flies.
