I have $3000 as a downpayment and want to lease a vehicle. My credit is bad but my dad who is retired is willing to co-sign to get me on my feet after my divorce. What would be a good SUV to lease for $300 a month?

  1. something that gets good gas mileage! maybe a ford escape or the honda CRV

  2. You put that $3000 all into one decent and cheap vehicle you can buy outright.

You can't afford a lease right now.

Now is as good a time as any to not make another dumb financial decision, like leasing.

  3. You can lease a small SUV such as a Honda CR-V or Nissan Xterra, or Toyota RAV4 or Matrix for about that payment. However, leasing is not good for someone who doesn't have a stable lifestyle -- because it is very costly and troublesome to end a lease early when your life takes an unexpected turn and you need to get out of the car. If the only reason you want to lease is lower payments, there's more to it. Here is an article that might help you determine if leasing is right for you:

    Good luck.

  4. not sure if you can lease an suv for 300/mo?

  5. A Honda CRV is cheaper than that, You could probably get a Pilot(honda) for 300 a month. I would suggest those two.  stay away from ford, GM, and dodge gas guzzlers, You pay the same for less quality......
