Swallowing Pills?

i no its weird but....i hav trouble swallowing pills wat can i do so I can swallow my allergie pills.. The type of pill I am taking is Allegra-D. What happens if i chew this pill?

Yeah I agree with the answer above me. Crushing it into food is a good idea. But it makes me feel old so another thing I might do if I were you is go to you DR because you might have a problem lol obviously... ummm you might have a small throat that's probably why. Uh you can drink a lot of water with it or you can drink it with food. It always helps me. I think you know how to do that. I don't have to tell you how to do that. Well wish you the very best! Applesauce or yogurt

It will probably just taste pretty bad. Try crushing it up and putting in a glass of water. Can you not buy a liquid or disolvable alternative?

For the elderly patients we put the pill whole in applesauce and try to have them swallow it.  If they still cannot, we crush it and mix it with applesauce.  

Have you tried Clairatin liquid???  My 3 year old takes the childrens formula and I double the dose for myself...

have you tried crushing it and putting it in food like mash potatoes or pudding or something like that. thats what i have to do.

Everyone makes fun of me for it, but I fill my mouth with my drink then shove the pill between my lips then swallow,  putting the pill in first makes me taste it and I hate that!  (plus I then can't swallow it).

Put the pill in your mouth and take a large mouth full of juice or water. Swish the liquid around suspending the pill, swallow.

Easiest way to do them.
