Sweating toddler?

Question

This could be the stupidest question but I will ask anyways. Does a toddler sweat? I have a two year old little girl and she doesn't sweat when we are outside. Its really hot out like in the 90's and she just turns red. Is she suspose to sweat? Someone told me that toddlers don't sweat but she sweats in bed when we sleep if she gets hot. I am really confused now! Should I take her to the doctor about it? Thanks!

Yes.  My 22 month old sweated like a hog today.  Some people are just more sweaty than others.  I bet if you feel the back of her neck next time, it will be sweaty.

Wow, yes she should be sweating.  If she is not sweating and it's that hot, she's possibly very overheated and about to collapse from heat exhaustion!  Not sweating when it's that hot is a symptom.

And yes toddlers sweat, a lot, even in winter.

My two year old does not sweat when it's hot outside, like you said just gets really red, but when he is sleeping, hot or cold...he sweats really bad, his hair is soaked.  I think that every child is different.  If this is something that concerns you, call your doctor, that's what they are there for..  I asked, and my dr. said that just some kids sweat more than others.  Not sure about them not sweating outside, but I dont recall my nieces and nephews sweating either when they were toddlers

I would be concern if her sweating night are bad that you have to change her shirt and bed sheets. It is normal for kids to sweat at night...
