My friend is celebrating her sweet 16 birthday party soon. and because she loved Hairspray so much. We decided to have her party the 60s way.

DO u have any ideas for food or games and yeah! costumes? ones we can make ourselves. cos we're NOT planning on a very elaborate party but one that still actually sticks to the theme?! THANKS!

we've seen some websites. but was hoping for more Home-made ideas. THANKS!!!

  2. The 60's are 2 very distinct eras, with totally different music and clothes.  Early 60's were more like the 50's (Fabian, Frankie Avalon, Dion, Bobby Rydell, Chubby Checker & the Twist) ... the Beatles came along about 1964, which brought the British Invasion, leading to the Hippie era of the last years of the 60's (Iron Butterfly, 3-Dog Night, Allman Brothers, Joan Baez, Jimi Hendrix ... Woodstock).....  You need to decide which years you want to do.......

  3. The 60's?

Then it should be centered around elicite s*x, drug taking and music.

Get some lava lamps and bead curtains for added affects, you could have tye dye cloths.

  4. I think it took place in the fifties
