Sweet Sixteen.?

K, well, I origionally had an idea for a Masquerade paarty, due to our lack of money, and my mum's persistance that I couldn't have a 'themed' party.

Then I thought of having a Dress To Impress after mum shot down the Masquerade with her "I don't like them, I never have, and if you have one, I won't supervise it, therefore no one will come, and I won't pay for it either"

Then I thought, maybe I could combine that with a Blackout Party, or just have a Blackout Party, so all the girls in black dresses, and guys in black suits, and then me in something silverry or brightly coloured.

If you think that's a good idea, then great (let me know though lol), but if not, do you have any other simple, affordable, fun sweet 16th ideas?

How about a barbeque party? Maybe u can enjoy ur party with your very best friends and neighbours at your own backyard in casual wearing.

It  sounds like you want to dress up.  Why does your mom object?  She must have a reason.

A Blackout Party sounds like you got caught somewhere and the electricity went out.  That wouldn't indicate to me that you want everybody to dress up.

When is your birthday?  Maybe a Spring Fling dance?  Use spring flowers to decorate.  Put on the invitations that it is dress up.  Serve fresh fruits, cheese, tea.

Happy Birthday!  And talk to your mum.  She may have some great ideas.

um i think that might be a little showy and if someone didn't get a memo that only wear black someone else might wear red  or something and then you would be dissapointed...so you could do a 70's disco it's cheap all you have to do is get a dico ball and tisue paper and staple it everywere and then you and everyone else could wear crazzzzy clothes.!!!
