I'm thinking that yur responding in a bad way to a laundry soap or fabric softener, and by the end of the day, the physical contact reaction has caused tissue water retention.

People are starting to react to some of this stuff and if U have soft water at home, it doesn't rinse out easy. The perfumes in it is sometimes the cause too like in those dryer clothes softening thingys that yur mom throws in there. I wear Champion socks, and those dryer thingys irritate my ankles in those socks and my skin there swells up...no pain though! My Mom quit using those on my stuff. Try hand rinsing a pair of shorts in nothing but fresh water and let them air dry and see if it happens when U wear those.
