Switch Services Airforce - Marines?

I am currently in the Air Force DEP. However, because of color vision deficency, I was basically set up with a desk job. My ship date isn't for another 2 months, I have talked to my recruiter and told him that I made a mistake, He is being pretty cool about the whole thing. I havn't officially asked to be discharged form the DEP yet, but I think I will be soon. I would like to Join the Marines. I have heard that the Air Force might try to push back the discharge for a while. I am wondering for how long will I have to stay in the dep, before I can Finally join another branch?

You have decided  to go to Marines, you will have to go to boot camp and you lose rank in the Marines. Currently the military is even getting picky taking back prior service unless you have a critical MOS, need no medical waivers and have a RE1.
