whenever there is a news on CRICKET i switch off my TV set. Ican't stand a word for cricket. this liliputians are overcovered at the cost all other sports in india. let's switch off whenever there is cricket.

I agree with you.  I too do that.  It is just a well laid out trap by the advertising and marketing people on the public to lure them to part with their money.  It is these A&D people who are making much more money than the cricketers - behind the screen and well spread out among number of persons.  The media also makes use of these hype to make money.  But it is sad that even the Government is falling into the trap.

What is wrong if others do not switch off? You may self congratulate yourself for not sharing the popular enthusiasm of others.

I'm not a cricket fan.I won't watch cricket.I never botherd about it.

We need to encourage other games like chess,carrom,table tennis,swimming etc also.

Most of the media is not paying attention to these games.Media should give publicity to other games also.

When I asked a 4yr old boy,what he want to become when he grows up,he said, he wants to become a cricketer.I asked him the reason, he said,"sachin got Ferrari, so when I grow up,I become a cricketer and I'll get ferrari".

See what we have done to our next generation.

Ultimately cricket is not encouraging sports, but the money behind it.
