Swords of revealing light question

Question

When a monster is flipped due to Swords, does the flipped monster go into face up atk or face up defence? If it goes to face up defence, then shouldn't the effect not work because it's suppose to be face up atk inorder for the effect to work? When swords is in play, can ur opponents monsters change battle position?

it is flipped into face up defence and any flip effects form a chain ... for flip effects it doesnt state anywhere that it must be flipped to face up attack mode ... if its an effect which activates when a monster is flip summoned then it wont activate

they go whatever mode they are in when they are face down.do u mean flip? if it is for flip effects, they will activate, as they only requires for the monster to be flip face up.If the card is in play, opponent monsters can change their battle position. however, ur opponent can still use the flip monster's effect, as the effect was not negated.
