Do you think that with how the swans are playing right now that they will be in contendership for a back to back flag?

If so/if not why???

  1. I really hope so. You know they are not a side that seem to come out firing at the start of the competition. They seem to work their way into their form. They have been written off before and then proven the critics wrong. If they can keep their form going now, and finish in the top 8, they have just as much chance as any one else. Injuries, I hope will be kept to a minimum at crucial stages as this has been another problem as for many other sides. All I can say is I hope so and GO THE MIGHTY SWANS!!!!!

  2. Well based on last week they are in fine form.

Alot of people have written off the Swannies but they have proven they can do it and have to be a contender.

In such an even competition you'd say the contenders West Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, St Kilda and Geelong, probably in that order.  After that you have Collingwood, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne should make the eight.

St Kilda and Geelong are struggling at the moment but Sydney seems to be over their poor start.

So the top 3 would be all non Vic teams again :(

If Sydney were to play West Coast again in a Grand Final they would be confident to repeat, Adelaide looks good too.

    Alot will depend on injuries.

    Good luck to them.

  3. It should be born in mind that the last few seasons in a row, the Swans have had ordinary pre-season periods, poor early form, gome good mid-season, and then stormed home into the finals. I think the league has deliberately tried to negate the Swans defensive flooding, and holding up of the ball (tactics prolific in football (soccer)) in order to force more attacking play, but they will definately still be in contention. It will be very hard for them to grab a flag, but if they are in the mix come september, anything could happen....

    Carn the Swannies...
