Sydney airport and transfer times?

i arrive in sydney(T1) at 7.20 am and have a flight booked to cairns at 11.30am departing from T2...is it enough time to pass passport conrol,get my bag and dash to the other terminal?thanks

  1. Yes i think you will have plenty of time as long as there is no delay with flights or baggage. The terminals are right beside each other and i think there is a shuttle bus. You have to check into Domestic flights at least 1 hour or 45 min depending on the airline. Some of the Airlines have long lines when checking in and it takes forever. Just remember if your running late try and find the quick check in counter.

That will be no problem at all.  You should get through customs and immigration in an hour (maximum).  In spite of what the  earlier poster wrote, the minimum time for domestic check in is 30 minutes before your flight (although that is cutting things fine - I would allow at least 45).  This gives you over an hour to get to T2, which is heaps of time.  T2 is Virgin or Deathstar.  There is a train between the two terminals, or there are shuttles.  Virgin will call flights and take you out of the line to a quick check in if they think things are getting tight.
