  1. Ivy. one of my favorite girl names. Old fashioned but not in a Mildred-y kind of way.

so what if it's a plant? So are Rose, Lilly, Daisy, Violet . . . all lovely names.

  2. Ivy is pretty. Sylvia and Adele are too old fashioned. :-)

  3. I love Adele

It is such a beautiful , uncommon name

    xx

  4. I like Ivy.  Sylvia to me is a last name and adelle sounds like a princess' name.  Ivy is unique.

  5. adelle

  6. All are very nice classic (but acceptably modern) names. I think you'll do fine either way.

Honestly, this is one of those times when all names are perfect and I don't have any complaints either way.

Though I would spell Adele in the traditional way - Adele.

Personally, my favorite is Ivy, followed by a tie between Sylvia and Adele. It's very close though!

  7. Sylvia is not that bad and I'm not sure why.

  8. I like Ivy its not common. Plus its my best friends name lol. Good luck

  9. I liked Adele, it's a pretty name but there's ton of jokes that come with it so I won't really recommend. I like Ivy or Sylvia. I'm leaning more towards Sylvia cause I've yet to meet someone with that name and I think it's very beautiful. Classy, traditional but still modern to use.

  10. I think Ivy is the nicest, I do not like adele at all...she WILL be teased growing up with Ivy, but it will be worth it

  11. Shayla Adelle

  12. Ivy! cute and not common.

  13. I love them all, and Im pretty picky about baby names. I guess in order, I like adele, Ivy, sylvia. nice choices.. good luck to you .

  14. I like Sylvia the most, because Adele doesn't seem like a name to me personally, though it is, and Ivy is just too old-fashioned, yet soon to be trendy names, like Lily. Sylvia is a classic name, and stands out because it is a strong name for a girl.

  15. i looooove ivy!! adele is nice to(like the little girl from Jane Eyre).

but i dont really care for sylvia. its not as sophisticated as the other two are. maybe something a little different like olivia?

  16. Sylvia: I don't like this name, it's old-fashioned but it makes me think of the term sylivia, and you don't want that to be associated with your sweet little girl. I know it could be considered classic because it was popular a little while back but I personally don't like the sound of it.

Adele: I have a friend named Adelle and I love the name. Personally I like it spelled with two 'l's because I think it looks better on paper that way. This name has a certain elegance about it that I love and since you don't hear it alot it makes it all the better. However, she did have a boyfriend that called her Dellie, which I didn't like, the nickname I use for her is Addie, which I also think is adorable.

Ivy: I don't think it's a strong enough first name for a little girl, don't get my wrong I like short names but this one just doesn't feel complete to me. I like it as a middle name, it's different, and I like that its unique like Adelle but its just not first name material to me.

I'd suggest Adelle Ivy but I don't think since both names start with vowels that they sound right together.

    Middle names for Adelle:

    Adelle Lydia (My friend's name)

    Adelle Marie

    Adelle Grace

    Adelle Hope

    Adelle Christine

  17. ADELLE!!! :D

  18. I like all of them.

Reah Silvia was the mother of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome, and it means forest. I'm a big mythology geek, and I like trees. Also it's just a very pretty, feminine name.

Adele means "noble." I was considering Adela for my own child, until I found out that I wasn't having a daughter.

Ivy is just really pretty, and makes me think of lovely green growing things.

  19. adele

    sylvia sounds too old

    and ivy is a plant
