how would i apply symbolic interactionism to the discrimination of transgenders, homosexuals, etc, in america?

Throughout history, minorities have been victimized because they did not follow the rank and file.  The majorities, so far, have the power to apply their view of appropriate symbolic interactionism.  However, minorities, stand tall, and insist of equal social value.  Refuse to compromise your life style with repugnant behavior.  Just act responsibly and appropriately.
