What was the boys treasure in the end of the book?

Was it the knowledge of learning about the Language of the World and Soul of the world? I'm confused.

  1. The treasure was that for you and me and every human there is a path, a path that one has to travel, looking, looking breathlessly, till one discovers the inner self - that the beauty of the world, the knowledge of life - all lies within oneself.

Btw, if you are an avid reader of such books, you might also find some good classic books to read here:

  2. The treasure was finding out what he was meant to do in life, and it turned out to be right where he'd left it.  That might sound kinda dumb because he ended up back where he started, but all that traveling was necessary in order for him to find out that what he wanted, he had all along.
