Question:

TV-Projector HDMI connection?

I have a Panasonic PT-AX200U projector and a Sharp Aqueous 26" TV and I bought an 8 m HDMI to HDMI cable to connect em.

Connected the cable between them, changed the TV's input to HDMI, changed the projector's input to HDMI and it doesnt work..

I always connect my macbook to it so the projector's fine.

the projection stays blue and the input (HDMI) keeps flashing.

Do u think it's the cable/TV ? Anything else I should be doing?

  1. My prime suspect is the HDMI cable. The easiest troubleshooting would be to get another HDMI cable and test away. Good luck.

  2. Both the TV and the projector can only receive a video signal. You would need a splitter to hook up two display devices to view the same source. Here is an example of one.

You would then go: source -> splitter and splitter -> displays.

  3. Are you hooking up the mac to the tv or projo first? When you hook up the mac to the projo are you sure you are using the HDMI input? If you normally use the computer input on the projo from the mac then I don't believe you can hook up the two monitors using HDMI.

  4. SIMPLE........you need to connect the HDMI cable from your HDMI out from your cable/dish box to your projector.  You can use a HDMI splitter box if cable - dish box has only one HDMI output.  If your TV has an HDMI out and your using your TV signal to re-route your signal to a projector, try using the AUX channel setting on your TV. Refer to your TV manual for this as to what channel to select if re-routing.

Cable/Dish box out .............to either TV or projector.
