TV question?!?!?

i have digital cable and i just got a new tv. however i cant seem to get the tv to work with the cable remote. the cable functions work fine (channels, menu) but the tv functions such as the volume and power wont work with the cable remote! does anyone know how to hook up the remote to work with the television?

  1. Look online for the manufacturer of the remote. ie.  Motorola...  They should have a website that has the instructions for programing your remote for your TV.  Your cable remote is like a universal remote and will be useful on other equipment, but it will have to be programed to utilize it.
