  1. tae bo is only meant for cardio. it will not teach you anything about self-defense.  tae bo is good for women who are trying to lose weight. to learn the actual art of kick-boxing you need to go to a kick-boxing gym. there is no specific diet that goes along with kick-boxing but it is always important to eat healthy foods. you can go to crossfit.com for some good information on fitness and on nutrition.

  2. Practicing tae bo and getting in the ring are two different things! Punching and kicking in the air is great exercise, but it has little to do with fighting. You have to punch someone to know how it feels, you have to get punched to know how it feels. You need endurance, great cardio, a good chin, and so much more. As far as diet is concerned you are definitely not overweight. You want protein, and some carbs for energy and foods low in fat. Please I am not trying to be mean, but I would look for some boxing instruction before you call yourself a boxer from watching tae bo videos.
