  1. i think you should read the two of them and find what are your strong points and weak points.......but personally i would take jujitsu...........feel free too check  my website out......martialarts.org

  2. try both, only you can decide for you:)

  3. Id go with the BJJ, it is the stlye of masters.

  4. Most fights end up on the ground but all of them start standing. I started in TKD and love it very much. How ever I recommend BJJ especially for woman. Attackers that attack woman will not attack you from the front and they will throw you down. If you can fight on the ground you'll break that guys arm and choke him until the cops arrive. then he gets to go to jail and try to explain why he lost to a girl.

  5. That depends on what you want out of your martial arts class. Are you looking for fitness? Self defense?

TKD teaches self defense and traditional values, such as self control and perseverance.

BJJ has more to do with grappling and ground fighting. They'll teach you how to use your size to maneuver a person into chokeholds and armbars where you exert control with minimal physical exertion.

I'd go with tae kwon do, personally.

  6. watch a tkd fight.  it's tag with the feet.  sometimes they both fall down.  comical

  7. my personal answer is take   tae kwon do  then advance to Brazilian jui jitsu you may find the trans. better good luck

  8. if you want to fight go for BJJ, if you just want to work more on flexibility and leg muscles, maybe routines, go for TKD.

TKD looks way cooler.  BJJ is way more effective.  they're both great workouts.  just depends on what you want out of learning a martial art.

  9. Take Tae kwon do.

I encourage you to take Tae kwon do.You see the reason why is because kicking is very good defendind method. Most people won't expect to fight someone who can kick.I won many fights by kicking when I was in school.

And if you want to do BJJ.There is long way to go.Trust me,most fight involve grappling and it makes no difference when you try to do the techniques on another person.

But if you can kick.......You will be good at fight

  10. Since style can't fight, I'd rule it a No Contest.

Take whichever one you like best, try them both out. Whichever place you feel would benefit you most, take it.

  11. Based on my past experience with Taekwon-Do, you lose your flexibility very fast after you stop training. These days I don't target anything higher than the knee!

If you depend on stretched tendons in BJJ too, I would suggest a third alternative which you can use equally well even when you are not as flexible as you were when you were in training.
