The VfL Bochum attacking midfielder has expressed his dissatisfaction with his display in the World Cup qualifier against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uzbekistan-c3037.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Bochum-c40880 attacker, Takashi Inui, has admitted that his Japan comeback did not go according to plan but is still happy on receiving a call-up to the national side. He stated that it was a vital moment in his career and is happy
to regain his manager’s trust. However, he felt dejected as he could not make his comeback memorable by helping his country winning the game.
Inui specified that had the selectors not named him in the squad especially after the injuries to the two of their first team players, then it could have been extremely difficult for him to play for Japan in the future. He accepted
that it was his mistake not to make full use of the opportunity but vows to continue improving further.
While talking to sports website, Goal.com, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 international further added:
“Of course I was happy about receiving the call-up, all the more as it has been quite a while. Also, because Kiyo (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hiroshi-Kiyotake-c16231) and (Keisuke) Honda have been injured, I thought that if I wasn’t considered this time I wouldn’t
get another, so that was reassuring as well. Then it was up to me to make the best out of it.”
On the other hand, Inui also showed his frustration for squandering a possible scoring opportunity towards the end. “I wasn't happy with my performance. Especially at the end – I was able to get behind their defence, but I didn’t
finish well… and we lost. There were too many things I need to improve on. That angered me,” the midfielder concluded.
Inui signed for Bochum in 2011 from Cerezo Osaka where he used to play alongside Borussia Dortmund’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364. The 23-year-old has so far made 23 league appearances for the 2.Bundesliga side, netting seven goals during the
process.
The game against Japan was Inui’s third cap for his country and the player is yet to open his account for the Samurai Blue. The player will next be in action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday, March 30.
