Tattoo dream interpretation?

I keep having this re-occurring dream about me just impulsively getting a bunch of tattoos. One is a huge cartoon mermaid across my whole back (I know - yikes), and then on each of my thighs I had this hideous pirate ship and then one of a bull.

(In real life my husband has full sleeves - I have no tattoos & no desire to ever get one.)

The dream always ends w/ huge amounts of this sick, sick feeling of regret for my impulsive behavior, and I wake up thrilled to find I don't have any tats!
