Taxis needed?

what citys are best for or needing more taxis? driving in N.Z and love it , but is getting quiet and so boring - asking for your opinion from your experience for long waiting times [not only weekends nights that are busy everywhere ] but ordinary weekdays ? thank you for tips which direction i should look at before i move there

  1. In the town where I live, calling a Taxi doesn't necessarily mean it will turn up.  It's a nuisance so we don't go out much because we both drink and it's too far to walk home -  plus there's the chance of being beaten up by local thugs.


  2. You can't simply buy a yellow car and start hiring yourself out.  I also understand that there are a limited number of taxi licenses available (regardless of which location you choose to operate from).  I also understand that taxi licenses are quite expensive.
