Question:

Taylormade Golf Balls?

I am trying to find a golf ball that works well with my game, but has the feel that I like as well. I prefer a softer ball, but it doesn't give me the distance I would like because I have a slow clubhead speed.

So, I like playing the Taylormade TP Reds, but I don't see very many people playing these. Why is this? Is the quality not there? Taylormade appears to be ahead of most everyone else on technology, but nobody seems to use their ball?

  1. Too expensive and a waste of money. I like dunlop actually

Also Noodle golf balls are good too but they are a bit expensive

  2. if i had my choice id hit pro v's and pro v 1x's everytime out but i never have enough money to blow on those. i bought a box of nike golf balls, i forget the exact model but i know they say "prosoft" on the side. i dont care much for distance balls because my drives are average and normally straight. i love the feeling of hitting a good ball that can get decent spin around the greens. so far they have worked great, can spin the ball effortlessly. the price isnt bad either, 20 bucks for a 12 pack

  3. Robert - From what I have read and the few times I have used the TM balls, these are REALLY good for a lot players who can actually tell the difference.

BUT, of course, TM has a very long and steep hill to climb as Titelist has the premier brand (and contracts in place) in balls these days.  The number of pros moving to the TM ball is growing - they will have their day in the sun.

The bottom line is use what works for you.

  4. it is the best ball on the market for spin and distance...i play the TP blacks

  5. i have played both TP red and black....both are great quality balls.......i found red to be more responsive around the green

for a player with slower clubhead speed i would suggest the black for more distance..I dont know why they arent more popular could be their price.Taylormade makes a less expensive ball "burner"  I never played it yet
