Teacher certification?

I live in NY and i recently passed the CST, LAST and ATS-W exams. I applied for an initial certification and it said on the website it was issued but I still haven't received anything. It says its not effective until 9-1-08 but they have to send it to me before that right? Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the certification?

  1. I wouldn't worry about it at all.  You are in the system, and that's what's important.  I'm sure you'll receive it before September... probably mid-August at the latest, I'm guessing.

  2. Relax it will come when it comes.  You should have the paper that says that it is pending and you can teach with that.  Schools also check the website so they know if you are telling the truth.

My permanent certification took forever to be reviewed, just forget it and it will come.

  3. I live in KY and it usually takes about a month to get the actual certificate.  Since it's not effective until Sept., you will probably get it in August.
