Teacher gift question...?

What's a good gift for a absolutely AMAZING kindergarten teacher?! She is amazing with the kids and my son just loves her. He is sad to be going to first grade because he has really bonded with her and enjoyed her class. He has started a complete love of learning thanks to her patience and enthusiasm.

I want to buy her something totally special, but I don't know what. I want to give her something that says we appreciate her and are very thankful to have had her as our son's teacher this year. I know gift cards are always good, because they can get whatever they want, but isn't that impersonal without much thought? And if not, how much?

What do you think? Any ideas? or advice? What have you done for a very special teacher?

(( My son is also currently making her a card to which we will attach a picture of him with her - to go along with our gift ))

I got my teacher a nice teddy bear. But like a nice one. not a little kids one. i found mine at a local... like bath & body works type place. i remember it smelled nice and was a teacher. or you could try a hand lotion. another nice thing to do is to have your son make her a build-a-bear and dress the bear up like a teacher. include one of those programmable messages.

I love gift cards.  Why not an American Express gift card.  She can use that just about anyplace!  I love the card idea too!  Maybe the giftcard, the homemade card like you said and a lovely bunch of flowers.  She'll be deeply touched.

Give her a gift card to a book store. Then she can get something for herself.... or her classroom.

We bought our daughters teacher a book called "A Teacher Gave Me Wings" too.

I would get her maybe a gift card to her fav store or returant. Maybe even ge4t her some of her fav candy to go with it. I hope this helped!
