  1. I was the shy kid, so I make it a point to engage that shy kid and try to make him/her comfortable with me.

As to the ones I remember, well, it varies.  I hate to admit that I find it difficult to remember many of my students after they've been out of my classroom for a while.  I teach seniors, so they graduate (most of them), and I might not see them again for a long time.  I've taught for 17 years, 80 to 160 kids per year . . . it's tough.

  2. I teach physical education.

I look specifically for my shy or reserved students. I try to talk to them privately one-on-one about their comfort level in a physical education class. Most of my grading is based on student demonstrating skills, but not all students are comfortable about that. So, I work with them to develop a way for them to get their grades and still maintain their comfort level.

I know quite a few teachers who do forget their quieter kids. However, I work really hard to remember them: I don't want them to fall through the cracks in my class.

  3. shy students usually r grown uo in broken family , as i knw we had a friend he was so shy and now he is professional f*g .

  4. I remember the shy kids for just that reason.  In a crazy world where a lot of kids are fighting for my attention, the ones who sit there quietly always intrigue me.  I enjoy them more because of it, actually.
