Are there many jobs teaching English in Vietnam? Do they pay well based on the standard of living? Do most contracts give teachers a free apartment with utilities?

  1. if you're a Vietnamese teaching in VN then yes, you need a degree. If you're non-Vietnamese, I suppose you still need a degree depending on what level you will be teaching. But if you don't, you can still tutor privately or apply for jobs at those International schools (that'll be a good place for resources to. I bet they can answer most of your questions, if not, go to the Embassy).

I'm not sure about the market's demand now, but teachers (again, depend on the level you're or will be teaching), it's pretty well-paid, especially if you offer after-school tutoring classes (which many of teachers do). I don't know about housing, though.

  2. the pay? not good.....so don't bother n waste ur time.....
