Im interested in sky diving, and when i go to University I am going to join the sky diving team, however what I really want to do is get the qualifications in sky diving, to then be able to teach it, or do it as a job, say in the summer! Does anyone know of how this can be done, and where it can be done? Any useful information would be appreciated.

P.S Im going to Dundee University, Scotland, if this helps

  1. I did the AFF (accelerated freefall) course a few years ago, which consisted of 10 jumps, learning a new technique on each jump, then 10 B-rels, which are practice jumps to show you can actually jump, control your canopy, and land safely. That gets you a Category A licence. To train to be an instructor I believe you need to be a minimum Category C, with 3000 jumps.

Go for it, it's the most unbelievable feeling to dive headfirst out of a plane and accelerate from rest to 120mph in two second. I did my training in Australia, because it was cheaper and had better weather. Good luck!
