  1. A teaching degree and english degree would do wonders.

People often do TESOL crash course, give it a try.

  2. HK is a pretty competitive country for English education.  The minimum requirement for most jobs is a TESOL certificate or equivalent, however the best jobs really favor those with bachelor degrees.  Generally the first job that you get is just a foot in the door.  It allows you to see the other jobs that your friends have and you begin to network.  One place to find a job on the internet is through http://eslcafe.com, probably the biggest job site for teaching in Asia.  You may want to compare countries and wages before you sign any contracts.  Hong Kong also is going through some educational reform, you may want to look into working for a public school.  Good luck

  3. Obviously the more qualifications and experience you have, the better, but at the entry level of the market, a degree in an English related subject and a TESL/TEFL Certificate is fine.

Once you have these you can find work through online ESL employment sites.
