Teen s*x....?

Question

If for some reason, it was impossible to get an STI/STD or get pregnant before you were an adult, would you be as against teen s*x? Why or why not?

(I'm not giving my opinion on anything, I just want to know yours)

Yes I would.

I think people should be married first.

Also there is still emotional pain that can come from having s*x before you're ready, if you break up or something.

Teens are old enough to feel like having s*x but too young to handle the responsibility of it.

So I'm still against it.

Sexual relationships call for a certain kind of maturity and mindset...Something that a lot of people even adults aren't ready for, let alone teens...I just don't think they should really be concerned with having s*x...

I am not against teen s*x. Most of the "pregnant teens" you see on here are faking it. The ones who really are 13-18 and pregnant don't flaunt it. In fact they hide it somewhat, usually. I am not waiting til marriage either but I do want to be in a 2-3year commitment before I take that step.

So it doesn't matter if you can or can't I still am okay with teens having s*x. After all it is their choice and not mine. It is something I have no control over.

I would still wait until marriage.  I am a strong Christian teenager who REALLY wants a purity ring for her b-day, and it does say in the bible that you should wait until marriage to lose your virginity.

My opinion is to just wait until you find one special person. I think that, STD possibilities or not, s*x is ment to be something with emotions. Not just something to do if your bored. It is quite meaningful.

being only 19 myself, I believe that waiting until marriage is an amazing thing. But I cannot say I did just that. I lost my virginity the night before my 16th birthday. In my opinion, teens are not warned enough as it is about STDs and cancers, etc. I think that if there were standard classes in ALL schools that taught these things instead of just saying "Don't Have s*x!!!", our teen pregnancy rates would probably go down. I recently got married, and looking back I DO wish that I would have saved my virginity for my husband - but everyone makes mistakes. I think what you think also has a lot to do with your relationship with God. Some people who are VERY religious will save it, yet others who don't care will start at age 11. What is society teaching us?????

I had s*x when I was teen but now I am 21 and married and regret it. Teens don't understand what they are doing they do it for fun and because it feels good. But I would give anything to have been able to give myself to my husband.

The greatest health risk then would be worrying about cervical cancer from having s*x 'regularly' when starting at a young age.  That should be scary enough

s*x is not just mutual acrobatics in bed, and it shouldn't be about just scratching an itch.  Any animal can do that, from an amoeba up to, and including humans.

Having s*x should be at the culmination of a relationship, not the start of one.  Unfortuantely, for most teenagers, one date is a relationship, these days.  The idea of waiting to get to know someone for at least a year, if not more, before sharing s*x with them, is a completely foreign idea. A teenage relationship tends to "stall" when s*x is introduced -- it's hard to get past the "let's do it, wherever, whenever we can't get caught!" thrill of physical s*x, and do the dirty work of actually developing a relationship.  It teaches a dependence on the physical, and shys away from relationship building.

I don't think I object to teenagers having s*x, per se -- I just think that most of them go about it the wrong way.  "If it feels good, do it," is an extremely undisciplined way to go through life.  It's not good when it comes to alcohol, it's not good when it comes to weed, it's not good when it comes to drugs, and it isn't good when it comes to s*x.
