Teen with a motorcycle?

I am 16 and want to get a motorcycle for 900$...the insurance is 125$ a year and obviously the gas is better.....im low with money and just want to get from place to place (within around 5-6 miles) from my home.....i have a basic knowledge of riding and i am taking the motorcycle safety course.....would anyone agree with my decision? (total cost of car expense is about 6X as much than moto)

also, dont cheep out on saftey. you will wreck it, might be as simple as tipping it over in the driveway, but saftey is very important. good helmets are cheep compaired to hospital bills and all that jazz.

Yeah, as long as the weather's nice enough to ride every day. I ride my Honda scooter to work and wherever if it's nice out, then I drive my S10 in the snow and rain.

Yes it is a good idea as long as traffic is not that bad where you are.  Make sure you have plans to do in case of rain and such.
