What is the percentage of car accidents caused by teenagers aged 17-25 in australia?

  1. Deaths are often expressed as a death rate per 100,000 persons in various age groups.

    In 2001, the most recent statistics I found, 118 Australian (18-24 y.o.) drivers and passengers died in auto accidents.  

    This translates to a rate of  4.2 per 100,000 drivers per year and 2.2 per 100,000 passengers per year.  

    Injury and poisoning are the leading causes of death in this Australian age group.
