Question:

Telephone beggars?

We registered on the national "do not call" list, so telephone solicitors can no longer call us.

But how do you get the beggars to quit calling? It seems we are constantly hounded by organizations asking for money... not selling anything they say.

No, they aren't selling anything... they want you to just GIVE them money. Well, we are charitable people, and we give to our church and to other places as well. But enough is enough.

I get tired of getting those calls. Is there any way to prevent beggars from calling us on the phone, other than getting an unlisted phone number?

We want our friends to be able to find us in the phone book, but do NOT want to hear from strangers. What to do?!?!

  1. i love em i cant tell them so much bull and all they do is clam down sir lol

  2. I wish there were a quick solution, but I haven't found one yet.

Here is what I do (it is working but it took a couple of years):

I tell every caller soliciting donations or asking me top participate in a survey that I will stop donating to any group that calls me on my phone, or that I no longer participate in surveys of any kind-and then advise them to remove me from their call list.

The only other solution I can think of is to allow calls to go to voicemail and then return the calls from family and friends.

    Good Luck!
