Jon C is right on.

For a point-and-shoot camera, you can't go wrong with Canon. There's also Olympus and Sony in there too. I love Nikon SLR cameras, but their point-and-shoot cameras seem a little slow on the shutter (you press the button and wait a few seconds for the camera to actually take the picture).
