Tell me about Newfoundland!?

Im thinking of moving to newfoundland. What can you tell me about it?

The community

the people

what do you like about newfoundland?

It's actually Newfoundland and Labrador.  It's beautiful, with lots of great scenery.  I like Labrador more myself, it's barren and cold but even better scenery if you go really far north into the Torngat Mtns.  There is a national park there.

The communities are nice and the people really friendly.  The weather isn't so good...it gets lots of snow...way too much snow in the winter, especially in Labrador.  The summers are not hot per se, but are usually warm with a fair bit of rain.  I like everything about Newfoundland actually, other than the winters but you do what you have to!

If you're looking for a job there you may be disappointed, there aren't too many around.

Some major cities other than St. John's are Corner Brook, Grand Falls, Gander, Mount Pearl, Labrador City and Goose Bay.
