Temporary Work to Permanent?

I have been hired as a temporary worker for a upscale department store. The lady in HR said if your performance is good and availability remains the same it is possible for the job to become permanent. Do you think she is trying to boost my confidence, or is this position likely to become permanent?

I think that if she were trying to boost your confidence then she would have mentioned something about a pay raise or promotion. but if she said it is likely to become permanent i think she is serious, and that you should give it your all and get that job, well good luck with it all
