  1. The protective order belongs to the court and not you!

If you contact him, you are in violation!

Sorry ladies: many women use these as tools to control another. But, when you need money or s*x, then things are okay.

When it expires then what? Have you thought that far?

  2. Yes, but isn't this kind of the pot calling the kettle black. You only want him when you need something. Maybe you should have though of that before the order.

  3. No you put the order on him and it would be null and void

  4. seek other assistance from social services..a restraining order means NO contact both ways..they explained this in court when you got it

  5. I would not suggest it. You may want to try a letter. That phone call could lead to him coming over which will get you back to the reason you have the protective order.

  6. No, you can not.  Per the order...neither of you can have contact.  He may actually be able to have you arresthed in some states for violating te order.

  7. As pointed out, TPO's are reciprocal USUALLY, but not always.  However, even if it is not recip, you definitely face the full fury of the court who granted it, as they will see your contact as a slap in the face of the order they granted you.  Also as pointed out, there are many states with specific laws against that.  In the ones where there is not a specific law, be very aware that a harrassment charge would be a cakewalk to file on someone who did that (and for good reason).  It sounds like you may need another good beating or two -- maybe it'll knock some sense into you.  If you need a TPO, why would you initiate contact.  NUTJOB!
