  1. i used to get tennis elbow all the time until i learned how to stretch it properly now i don't get it at all.

you straighten out your arm and pull your hand upward for 30 seconds and the pull it downward for 30 seconds

You may need to stretch it longer if necessary

  2. Hi: Unfortunately muscle soreness is part of the game.   However, below are some tips that could help.

-Try "active recovery techniques" by performing some easy low-impact aerobic exercise to increase blood flow. This may help diminish muscle soreness.  Trainers utilizes 'active stretching', as suppose to static, to increase blood flow to the arm.  I was introduced to this through the P90X exercise routine.  One of these stretches involves simply gently tossing your arm like you are hugging yourself.  Another one is to bend over at the hip with one arm pointing straight down and then pretend as if you are stiring a large pot.--then switch arm.  The last one is to stand feet shoulder-width apart and swing one arm backward like you are doing a backstroke (swimming) after 5-8 reps, reverse direction....after that, switch arms.

-Although it is not yet confirmed that gentle static stretching reduces soreness, some people find it simply feels good.  See link below for some static stretches.

-Gently massage the affected muscles. Sports Health researcher has found that massage was effective in alleviating muscle soreness by approximately 30% and reducing swelling, but it had no effects on muscle function.  Plus it's a good excuse to ask your significant other or someone you like to give you a massage--or you can do it yourself.  Technique links below.

-Try taking some anti-inflammatory medication (aspirin or ibuprofen) to reduce the soreness temporarily.

-Personally I believe that Yoga can reduce muscle soreness, plus is good for flexibility and will help prevent possible injuries.

More importantly, please don't forget to warm up completely before your next exercise session. There is evidence that supports pre-exercise warmup as a significant factor to reduce muscle soreness after exercise.

  3. Have you played tennis your whole life or have u recentely started? If you have recently started it is normal because the muscles you use for tennis aren't used to being so worked up so you will have sore muscles for a few days. everytime you go play play more and more and in the end they will be used to it. if u have played for a while then look up some arm stretches for tennis on google, im in a hurry now others whys i would find it for you, good luck, hope u feel better.

  4. put your arm stright, then use your other arm to pull it over your chest.
