  1. Your height is good and tennis for all height it's depend on your skill and you  gonna grow taller at least until 18

  2. Anyone can play. Tennis is not like basketball. You don't have to dunk the ball. Oliver Rochus is very short and has had some success. You just have to hit the ball and move well to be a tennis player.

  3. any people can play tennis if they want, tall people, short people, fat people, really super skinny people, anyone. if people say you cant play cuz your short thats rasist pretty much. i am absolutely, 100% sure that tennis is for short people. =]] go ahead and play the sport if you like it.

  4. Jay S, Justine Henin was 5'5.5"

  5. That is a little short for tennis, but if you work on it you can be good. My #1 singles player when I was a freshman was like 5'2" maybe and he was good. For the most part though, shorter players have a tough time with the tall power players like Isner and Karlovic.

  6. You're not short. And even if you were, you could play tennis. Look up the history of a guy named Rocchus and guys named Wilkerson (twins). Look uo Michael Chang. Listen, Justine Henin was only 5'4" and she was Number One. Go play.

  7. Of course it is, Michael Chang used to be the man!!!!! Know what else is really weird....tennisro...'s & li601 have the same exact answer...that's crazy!

  8. anyone can play. tennis is not like basketball. u don't have to dunk the ball. oliver rochus is very short and has had some success. u just have to hit the ball hard and move well to be a tennis player.

  9. well i always say it is about the ability of the tennis player and being short has it's advantages  e.g. low sense of gravity, speed but maybe at pro level u wld struggle alittle but if u have a good jump to reach those high balls from certain topspin kind of player then ur ok.

tennis is for everyone and should be enjoyed by everyone!

  10. Tennis can be played by everyone!

The advantages of being tall is that you can get a stronger serve.

The disadvantages are that tall people usually cannot cover the court as well as shorter people.

Shorter people usually cover the court better (i.e. sprinting to drop shots) and they usually can hit lower balls than the taller people.

    Just keep practicing.

    Good luck!

  11. nop, 8s for any size of people, 8s how you do the thing

  12. well if you are playing for fun sure! but if you are guna start young and be all pro most are tall. but since u r 5 ft im guessing  you are older than that so u have no chance sry so it doesnt matter. u can play for fun

  13. It does not matter how tall you are. I am 5'4 and I play tennis and some people start at say age 4 and start learning tennis and they are very short so it does not really matter if you are tall are not.

  14. Tennis is for all heights and ages. You just might have a little bit of trouble getting your serve over the net at that height. It's OK. You just need to work on your serve and get some extra spin so it travels over the net. =)

  15. u should try asking this to Justine henin

  16. Sure. You're only one inch shorter than Amanda Coetzer (and at 15 you've got time left to grow). If you're not familiar with the name, she was a solid top-ten player in the mid-late 90's. She won quite a few tournaments and beat a number of top players in her era. Belgium's Olivier Rochus is 5'5" and he's had a good career. Justine Henin comes to mind too, and Michael Chang. You don't have to be tall to play tennis, just good. Maybe the taller guys and girls can serve big and smother the net, but the more vertically challenged players have better lateral movement and struggle less with low balls.  There are pluses and minuses either way as far as height goes, but any size can work.
