Term time jobs after baby no4?

hi guys, im pregnant with baby no4 and currently work in insurance. my husband and i have only just about managed with childcare (parents/inlaws) during school hols with 3, so i know we are going to struggle with 4. tax credit will only pay 70% of our child care costs so this means if i return to work, i will be doing so purely to cover childminders fees. i am seriously thinking of retraining as a teacher whilst i am off, but this is purely so i will be off on school hols and not need to rely on others so much. but i really feel restricted in my options for a job. does anyone know of any other jobs i could do during school time? i dont know if it matters, but i live in wales. i would even be happy to work from home if the opportunity come up.

  1. how about tutor work? Kids needs extra tuition in hols too! Or do extra tutor work in school term time and save the extra money! Good luck! Ignore any negative people! I have 4 kids it is wonderful!

  2. what a hard situation to be in. i can remember my mum returning to college when myself my brother and sister were younger...i can also remember her always moaning about how her child care cost her more than she actually earnt from her job but she stuck with it and had now founded owns and manages a daycare center and is  making up for all the time she was paying out so much money. i can totally understand how hard it must be for yourself and your husband but give it a go try going to night college to study then your partner could have the children while you are there.... it will all be worth it in the end even if it means being skint for 5 years the benifits will all be there to show at the end....i wish you and your family the bbest of luck and success

  3. not being funny, but u knew the risks but still you made the decision to have another kid

    look in the papers etc

  4. well don't limit your search to schools only, look into colleges or universities they likely hire people to only work while classes are in session, and not just the faculty, the school year may be a bit different that at college level but check it out, might be close enough to help you out
