Question:

Terrible lower stomach cramps while running?

They basically feel like period cramps.

Is it gas? Am I drinking too much water before hand? I drink a little less then half of a water bottle before I go.

  1. everyone runner gets this problem.  Especially if you just ate a meal.  You need to wait at least 3 hours after a meal before you run.  You still need to drink enough water or you will get dehydrated.


  2. Nope.  It is natural and everybody gets it.  You will find that it goes away as you condition yourelf better.  Good luck training!

  3. Yes, too much water before you go. Only take small sips.

  4. I advise you drink less water. Small sips should keep you going. Also as you continue to run, your body will get used to it and eventually the cramps will go away.
