hi, this is NOT a test to make fun i promise, or i would be mocking myself :) i thought i would try a game on here. testing our abilities. see how close you can get to.....

I can GUESS the name of your dog but it is exactly that a guess.

I believe it has something to do with spring equinox or easter and... wait let me get an image.... something celtic.

If I were to guess it would be something like "Yule" or "Brina" "Morna" or something that sounds like it.

The more people responding, the greater the chances of one of them hitting the jackpot by chance, especially since they can see the other wrong answers before guessing. This isn't a good test of psychic ability.

By the way, you divulged that your dog is a male Rottweiler in a previous question. Based on that, color and size are easy to guess.

I would have loved to take a crack at this when the question was fresh, but too many details came out. I threw some names around - all I could get was sarge - short for sargeant. Probably missed by a mile.

My upstairs neighbor has a rottweiler named Hadjjie - after Johnny Quest's indian side kick.

Wow, you're easy to please.  You ask for your dog's name and someone throws this out:

"I think your dog is male...probably black. If not black he might be brown, but I think he is black. Maybe mostly black. His coat is also very short."

+A male dog?

-Well, there's a 50/50 chance there.

+He's black?  No, he's brown.  Wait, he *might* be black and/or brown.

-Once again we have someone using the shotgun effect, making vague, high-probability guesses.

-Another guess that covers a large portion of the most popular dogs.

+60-80 pounds

-This is the best hit this person made, although once again saying "60-80 pounds" covers a lot of ground.

What you have here is a good demonstration of cold reading and by reaffirming this and other guesses (the name Bear) by adjusting the parameters of what you would consider a successful hit, you are playing right into their hands.

Hmm...that is difficult.

However...I think your dog is male...probably black. If not black he might be brown, but I think he is black. Maybe mostly black. His coat is also very short.

He is somewhere between 60-80 pounds. Maybe about 20 inches tall at the shoulder.

EDIT: 30 kilograms = 66.1386787 pounds

           20 inches = 50.8 centimeters
