Since the Braves could be shopping Mark Teixeira and the Angels have already said they aren't gonna be able to re-sign Francisco Rodriguez tell me what u think about this possibility.... i know it's unlikely but the Braves need to trade tex and the angels are a great fit.If the braves throw in a reliever like will ohman and maybe a prospect this could be a good deal for both teams in my oppinion.... tell me what u think

  1. no cause texieria will leave in the off season to go to ny or baltimore

  2. I have no doubt in this trade, the Angels need power because they lack it. K-Rod is leaving after the end of the year unless they can resign him. This a good deal but, the Angels need  a closer because they don't win by much runs and if they can't get someone to close out the games they might not make the WS. Of course they could get a closer from Atlanta with a prospect and Tex. The only thing how much is K-Rod willing to be on a losing team. K-Rod wants to beat Thigpen in saves and a team like the Braves who lost Jones. Possibly get a lead in the ninth by 1, 2,3 runs for K-Rod to close. Since, the Braves are looking towards the future they need a prospect from the Angels too. Maybe a good deal and could help out both teams.

  3. It’s not going to happen. That said, if the Braves do trade Mark Teixeira before the July 31 deadline, they should apologize to everybody on their roster.

Teixeira can become a free agent after this season, but so what? If he leaves, the Braves get a couple of draft picks. If he stays, it saves the Braves  the difficult task of trying to find another slugger as good or even better. So you keep him through September no matter. In fact, to hear all parties involved tell it before the Braves’ 8-2 loss to the Washington Nationals, he isn’t going anywhere.

For a lot of people the answer is Mark Teixeira. The Yankees won't pick up Giambi's $22 million option and the Mets will likely pass on Delgado at $16 million.

Teixeira isn't Giambi, of course, but he'll be looking for a deal in the seven year range. Such a move runs counter to the Yankees stated desire to build from within. The Mets, on the other hand, just gave a ton of money to Johan Santana and will need to replace Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, and Billy Wagner in the next year or two. That's not a period you want to enter hamstrung with too many long-term contracts.

  4. Not likely since the only reason either teams would deal the guys is because their not gonna be able to afford them.

  5. I don't think the Angels will trade K-Rod. It would be a huge blow to their bullpen. They will probably try to win it this year and take the draft picks.

If the Braves trade Tex to the Angles, Kotchman would have to be in the deal and the Angels have been uneasy about trading him in the past and they will probably want to keep him since he fits into their system so well. He's a free swinger and the Angels want that so he can hit Figgins home and he's a great contact hitter.

  6. This would never be done. Why would the Braves trade Texeira (who is going to be a free agent) for another person who's going to be a free agent as well. The Angels already have a reliable first baseman who hasn't even reached his prime. K-Rod is going to test the free agent market, it wouldn't surprise me if the Angels re-sign him. The owner Arte Moreno is willing to pay the money for a quality, proven player. The only reason the K-Rod situation is a big deal is because players want as much as they can get. The Angels want to save as much as they can, who wouldn't want a discount. Like I said, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Angels match an offer he gets.

  7. The only reason Teixeira is leaving the Braves is that he's too expensive to keep.  The same holds true for Rodriguez.  The new era of spending is well underway, and a lot of teams are being left in the dust.

  8. even though they would be able to afford either in the offseason the angels could do this to make a run at the world series , the braves could use a closer and the angels already have shields who could fill that void and need a power hitter.  the trade makes sense to me especially for the angels and thats bad news for my rangers.

  9. Yes but instead of ohman maybe Jo Jo Reyes 1 in 100 chance though
