Text Boxes in Adobe Professional?

This problem just started and I'm not sure why -- I haven't manually changed any settings. I used to be able to just drag and drop a text box anywhere I wanted to. However, for the last two days, it will only let me "jump" to pre-defined places. I can no longer fine-tune it to within my document.

Any ideas?

sounds like you've turned on the "Snap to Grid" option.

go to View menu and see if Snap to Grid option (toward the bottom of the menu options) is "checked".  To turn it off, just click it again to uncheck it.
