Texturizers?!?!?Please help me!!?

what do they do?

I'm a 14 year old boy and i have really thick wavy dry hair. I'm trying to grow it out but it looks kind of stupid with the waves. i was wondering if a texturizer could soften that waves and make them look a little better and a little straighter. right now my waves are really kinky and my bangs keep curling up/

i know some people claim to have thick hair but its really not, but believe me, my hair is EXTREMELY thick. every hairdresser i have had has said it. i don't know if the thickness of it has anything to do with the waves because my friend has wavy, normal hair and the waves are a lot looser and straighter

right now it is about 1 1/2 inches long

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by texturizers? do u mean like mousse and gel? there are a lot of hair products out there designed for hair that is thick and wavy. if you want to smooth out the waves i think using mousse might work.i dont think gel would work cuz it would make your hair like stiff and stuff. but next time your getting your hair cut just ask them what you can do. if your too embarrassed to ask the ppl where you get your hair cut when theres other ppl there too then just call up and ask. good luck!

btw you could also try a hairspary to hold it in place but you would have to sort comb it in a little after you spray it so it wont make ur hair all stiff and stuck togeather
